WAR risk in the Red Sea region have contributed to a 39 per cent increase in container shipping costs from Korea to Europe, reports Korea's Yonhap news agency.

The average shipping cost for a FEU on the Korea-European Union route reached US$3,071 last month, marking a 39 per cent increase from a year earlier.

Similar fluctuations in shipping costs across key routes highlight the broader impact of geopolitical tensions on maritime trade.
