Bosphorus blocked when crude tanker's engine fails

 Vessel traffic through the Bosphorus was suspended after a 90,730-ton Hong Kong-flagged tanker suffered an engine failure, reports Saint Petersburg's PortNews.

The Tenacity Venture, a crude oil tanker was en route from Gibraltar to Constan�a, Romania.

The incident occurred off Kandilli, and Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services coordinated the response.

Under the guidance of a pilot captain and escorted by KEGM rescue tugs Kurtarma-8, Kurtarma-5, and Kurtarma-11, the vessel was towed to the Buyukdere anchorage.
