SOUTHERN Guangdong province's trade value for September grew 12.2 per cent to US$65.78 billion, of which the export value stood at $39.11 billion, hitting a record high, reports Xinhua.
Provincial trade value has been growing in the past three quarters with an increase of 13.3 per cent to $517.12 billion, but the growth was 25.2 per cent lower than China's average level. Its export value grew 13.5 per cent to $301 billion, which accounted for 28 per cent of the nation's total. Besides September, the province also registered a new high in the export value in July.
Its export value of textile and garment dropped 22.6 per cent to $24.54 billion in the first nine months, which made it the eighth consecutive decline since February. And its toy export value only increased 6.3 per cent to $4.47 billion.
