Qatar hosts summit to promoted logistics and supply chain sectors
THE first Qatar Trade Summit, a three-day event held in Doha facilitated Qatar's transformation into a regional logistics and supply chain hub. Head of the summit's steering committee Narendra Kumar said the event offered an opportunity for local and international business to interact with global thought leaders, industry stakeholders and experts from the sea ports, air cargo, supply chain and logistics sectors. Discussions concerned: 'Impact of ports and shipping in regional economic progress', 'air cargo sector and its influence on bridging regional markets', and 'supply chain logistics and trends and future of logistics,' reported Doha's Gulf Times. The event also featured a workshop focusing on "Made in Qatar", which will explore the potential of bringing business to the region, as well as the "Global Strategic Partnerships Workshop".
