SHENZHEN Airport Co in south China's Guangdong province has posted a 9.69 per cent growth in total revenue of 2009 to CNY1.66 billion (US$243 million) compared to the previous yearcoupled with a profit of CNY724 million, reports Xinhua.
The airport's mail and cargo volume increased 1.2 per cent to 605,200 tonnes, while traffic rose 7.8 per cent to 202,600 landings and departures.
The company also set its business goal for 2010 to achieve a passenger throughput of 25.2 million, a mail and cargo volume of 700,000 tonnes together with 205,000 departures and landings and a revenue of CNY1.769 (US$259,109) and a profit of CNY718 million.
The world's largest express delivery company UPS will open a hub at Shenzhen Airport, which will probably offer 108 flights per week and move 200,000 tonnes of cargo a year, says a research report from Guangdong-based GF Securities.
