HONG Kong Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), a unit of COSCO, announced that overall revenue in the third quarter of 2024 increased by 73.7 per cent to US$3.06 billion.
Total lifting rose by 3.6 per cent to 1.93 million TEU, while loadable capacity declined by 1.6 per cent. The total load factor increased by 4.2 per cent compared to the same time in 2023.
Overall, average revenue per TEU jumped by 67.6 per cent over the third quarter of the previous year, reports London's Port Technology International.
In the first nine months of 2024, overall revenues climbed by 23.4 per cent to $7.30 billion and total liftings increased by 2.6 per cent to 5.61 million TEU compared to the same time in the previous year.
Loadable capacity dropped by 1.0 per cent. The total load factor was 3.0 per cent greater than in the same nine-month period last year.
The average income per TEU climbed by 20.3 per cent from the same time last year.
