EgyptAir Cargo, the freight division of Egypt's national carrier and one of the region's most established air logistics operators, has concluded its participation in the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, securing a series of commercial and operational agreements that strengthen its route network and advance its expansion across international markets.

During the exhibition, the company held intensive commercial and coordination meetings with major air cargo operators and accredited sales agents from markets across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The discussions focused on expanding cargo capacity, reinforcing commercial partnerships and connecting new trade lanes to EgyptAir Cargo's network ahead of the upcoming winter season.

A central outcome of the event was signing and renewing several sales and air cargo agency agreements in strategic markets, including Turkey, Germany, the Benelux region (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg), Jordan and Hong Kong. According to EgyptAir Cargo, these agreements reinforce its commercial presence in each market, strengthen its competitiveness and provide freight forwarders and cargo owners with expanded access to a broader, better-connected route network.

The company also reached several operational agreements and coordination measures to support and expand cargo flights during the winter schedule, particularly to New York, Sao Paulo, Kuwait, Asmara, Juba and Johannesburg. EgyptAir Cargo stated that the additional capacity is designed to meet demand across diverse markets and improve air cargo connectivity between continents through its network, giving forwarders and shippers more reliable capacity and routing options during a period of seasonal demand.

As part of its forward-looking expansion plans, EgyptAir Cargo confirmed it is studying long-haul charter flights from Hong Kong to Mumbai. The proposed service would complement the existing cargo network and help capitalize on growing trade flows between Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The company is also exploring opportunities to launch new services to Sydney, Australia, and to Algeria, extending its reach into additional markets and destinations.

In support of Egyptian exports, EgyptAir Cargo announced during meetings with its agents and commercial partners that it will begin operating services to Cardiff, in the United Kingdom, with the start of the upcoming winter season. Cardiff will become a new destination within the company's UK network, strengthening the movement of Egyptian vegetables, fruits and other products to the British market while supporting onward access to European markets.

"These results reflect a deliberate strategy to strengthen our position on the global air transport map, expand our destination network, develop international commercial partnerships and support Egyptian trade and exports," EgyptAir Cargo stated.
