Korea's SM Line announces its second service to US
KOREA's SM Line, an oceangoing carrier that emerged from the ashes of the Hanjin bankruptcy, has launched its second US route, reports BusinessKorea. The shipping company announced on May 17 that it held a ceremony at Pusan New Port Co (PNC) to mark the launch of the second Pacific Northwest Service (PNS), with the participation of officials from shipping organisations and corporate customers. A total of six 4,300-TEU ships will operate on the new route, making port calls in Yantian, Ningbo and Shanghai of China, Busan, Vancouver, Seattle of the US, Tokyo, Busan, Gwangyang of Korea and back to Yantian.
