Los Angeles April cargo traffic up 2pc to 196,000 tonnes
AIR cargo at Los Angeles International Airport increased by two per cent year on year in April to 196,000 tonnes, according to official airport figures. For the first four months of the year air cargo tonnage was up 3.6 per cent to 761,000 tonnes, reported Los Angeles Business Journal. As for passengers, numbers rose 4.1 per cent in April compared to last year and was up 5.5 per cent for the first four months of this year. Los Angeles World Airports, the LA city agency that operates LAX, reported that 7.1 million passengers passed through the airport in April, down from 7.2 million passengers in March, but up 4.1 per cent from 6.9 million passengers last April.
