Canada's railway Teamsters ratify 4-year Canadian Pacific contract
THE Canadian Pacific Railway and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference-Train & Engine (TCRC) have ratified a new four-year agreement. A five-year agreement was also ratified with CP's Kootenay Valley Railway conductors and locomotive engineers. "We would like to thank the union leadership of the TCRC for working collaboratively with us to reach a successful agreement during this bargaining process," said CP president and CEO Keith Creel. "TCRC-represented employees are integral members of the CP family; achieving a four-year agreement provides certainty and stability for not only employees at CP, but for customers, shareholders, and the broader economy."
