DHL Global Forwarding expands LCL offering across Americas
DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight arm of Deutsche Post DHL Group, has added 17 less-than-container load (LCL) ocean freight services throughout the Americas to enable customers to lower inventory, while improving the frequency and reliability of its offering. "We know the importance of helping our customers meet their commitments and deadlines. That is why we are always looking for ways to help them get their goods to market faster and more efficiently," said LCL Americas head Tara Caputo. "Through our large global network, we are consistently looking at expanding our services to offer our customers greater oversight of their logistics chain and reduced risk of damage or loss," Ms Caputo said. "These new LCL services with regular direct schedules let customers properly plan their supply chains." This year the company has launched outbound and inbound lanes from the United States and Latin America to Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, reported American Shipper.
