CTSA increases currency surcharge 4pc from November 1

CANADA Transpacific Stabilisation Agreement (CTSA) will increase the currency adjustment factor (CAF) on all trades routes including from Japan and China by four per cent from November 1.

The currency surcharge rose to three per cent for this month from one per cent in September and two per cent in August, reported American Shipper. The 10 CTSA members are APL, Cosco Container Lines, Evergreen, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, "K" Line, NYK Line, OOCL, Yang Ming and Zim Integrated Shipping Services.
